We want you to be happy with your purchase. Below is a clear, honest guide to your rights when you order from us online or buy in person at our Paignton showroom.
Your 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you order online or by phone, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel for any reason within 14 days of delivery, and a further 14 days to send the item back. Bespoke or made-to-measure items — such as a divan made to your chosen size or fabric — and mattresses that have been unsealed or used are excluded from this right for hygiene and practical reasons, as permitted by law. This cooling-off right applies to distance sales; it does not automatically apply to purchases made in our showroom.

How to Initiate a Return
Contact Us
Call us on 01803 525422 or email sales@halfpricebedz.co.uk with your order number and let us know you would like to cancel or return your item.
Arrange the Return
We will confirm how the item should come back to us and talk you through the next steps.
Receive Your Refund
Once we have received the item back (or evidence that you have sent it), your refund is processed within 14 days to your original payment method.
Know Your Rights
A few important points to be aware of, whichever way you shop with us:
Mattresses must still be sealed or unused to qualify for a change-of-mind cancellation, for hygiene reasons
Faulty, not-as-described, or unfit-for-purpose goods can be rejected for a full refund within 30 days under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or repaired/replaced after that
Please check your delivery and report any transit damage or missing items within 48 hours
Items bought in our Paignton showroom are not covered by the distance-selling cooling-off right; any exchange for a change of mind is offered at our discretion
Refund Process
Once we have received your returned item, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
We will keep you updated by phone or email while your refund is being processed.
